Nissha Medical Technologies is seeking a Financial Controller in the UK

To produce accurate and timely financial information for the UK operation, whilst applying and adhering to group-wide accounting policies and practises. 
1. Oversee the UK and Belgium financial reporting function, including both review and preparation responsibilities for journal entries, account reconciliation and internal controls.
2. Train, mentor, and supervise a team of
3. Functions including: Payroll, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable & General Ledger.
3. Maximise the Company’s cash position at all times and work with the European FD on 12 week rolling cash forecasts.
4. Manage the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Fixed Asset Ledgers and resolve any anomalies.
5. Understand and provide analysis on all costing variances (Stock, Labour & Overhead)
6. Work with European FD to evaluate, develop and enact accounting policies.
7. Challenge existing processes and streamline/develop new ones to promote efficiencies and provide additional value-add for the finance group as a whole. 
8. Assist in the preparation of the annual budgets and 3-year plan.
9. Lead the external audits of the UK accounts and controls and work with auditors on Statutory Accounts and Corporation Tax returns.
10. Support the team in preparation of VAT returns and other statutory returns. 
11. Support other departments with information and /or analysis when required. 

The above list of duties and responsibilities are not exhaustive and is subject to change. The job holder may be required to undertake other duties within the overall scope and grading of the role as necessary to meet business demands. 
• Qualified accountant with one of the recognised bodies (preferably CIMA).
• 1-3 years post qualification experience in a global manufacturing environment.
• Supervisory experience in managing a finance team.
• Knowledge of multi-currency transactions in a global business.
• Ability to communicate to all levels of the organisation.
• Second language would be an advantage (French).
• Ability to travel to other European sites.
• Essential to demonstrate ability to achieve tight reporting deadlines. 

• Have a positive can-do attitude, enjoy working in a team and be keen to learn and develop.
• Have a strong drive, passion and determination for achieving successful results.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (vertically & horizontally) within the whole organisation.
